About Tartan Spirit
Tartan Spirit was launched with great success in January 2006 at the Scottish International Trade Exhibition. Designer Joyce Young is the name behind the By Storm brand which is at the top end of the wedding industry in Scotland. She has shops in Glasgow and London and a factory and design studio/showroom in Glasgow.
In February 2006 Joyce won two awards with Tartan Spirit at the British Female Inventors and Innovators awards ceremony in Guildhall. One Award for exceptional creativity sponsored by the DTI and the second a special judges award.
The Tartan Spirit Collection is currently sold by some of the most prestigious retailers in Scotland including Gleneagles Hotel, Skibo Castle, Jenners, The National Gallery and Kelvingrove Gallery.
The collection has been showcased on the Dressed to Kilt catwalk in New York and Los Angeles with celebrities such as Alanna and Kimberley Stewart photographed wearing the outfits. In April 2007 the Tartan Spirit collection was on the Dressed to Kilt catwalk in New York during Tartan Week. Sean Connery and Donald Trump were the guests of honour.
